Montevertine
Toscana Super Tuscan Blend

Gritty, muscular, and high in acidity, this eventually came through with gorgeous stewed plums and figs, pressed flowers, potpourri. A juggernaut, and perhaps it’s more acidic qualities will soften with time.

Overly tart cherry and hibiscus. Prob too young. Had with Pastaria pizza and bolognese.

I think we opened this a little early. Very flowery and red fruits like strawberry and bright cherry. Tastes like Tuscany and Sangiovese.

I loved the ‘15, and this vintage even kicks it up a notch. QPR is insane for this wine (if that’s an allowable term for a $50-ish wine). Classic, delicious, and distinctive. It just runs out too soon! Note to self: buy magnums!
