09' Morlet Passionnement It's a blend from To Kalon, Missouri Hopper & Knights valley.

Don't know what to think about my 09's from Napa Valley. Love them! Not in love with them. Awkward drinking stage?

Nose- Blackberry, cassis. Palate-Black cherry, tobacco, mint & bitter chocolate on the mid palate. This 100% cab is slightly hollow. Drinking with nice length and complexity. I'm guessing the front of the palate should catch up to the back? Hold.

Good bottle of wine. If you can find the 2008... recommend highly.

@David A Lentine @Gina Sabean @Christine It was a unanimous decision., this was the WIne Of The Night! Simply amazing! Structure, Elegance and a strikingly long finish and mouthfeel. We had multiple glasses on the table and Everyone was revisiting the Morlet to compare. There was a depth and broadness in this wine that just surpassed the amazing "runner up". Truly no rough edges. My only minute drawback was the nose. It was not as pronounced and evident as the Amazing Kenzo that we enjoyed. More to follow shortly in that review!

There is such a thing as TOO MUCH funk. All earth, no fruit on the nose. Falls short on the palate. Looks like someone dropped the ball in the vineyard in '09

My first Morlet. It's the most impressive California Cab I've had in several years. You know when a wine is so balanced and integrated its hard to describe? This is one of those wines. Fruit and oak are near perfection. Walks a perfect line between old and new world. Nirvana in a glass. @David L thanks so much for the introduction. I owe you big time. F&$k!

Strong but not as fiery as the 15.2% on the label. Clean and fresh fruit. Can easily let this age a while more. #happyfathersday #父の日

Could cellar easily for a couple more yrs. worth decanting. Dark berries, silky finish, but alcohol still strong at 15.2%.
