On my second bottle of the 2014, paired with cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza - NYC style - and it was really delightful there. Very harmonious with the bold, salty flavors. I think it was less successful before with the charcuterie plate because there you had additional flavors like fennel and truffle and berry that competed with the wine rather than complemented it.

Mar 3rd, 2024More fruit forward and less tannic than its 2015 sister. I may have liked this more if I hadn’t already had the 2015 which is just an incredible Syrah, probably one of my all time favorites. Paired with smoked / roasted duck and felt like it was actually overpowered.
