Lemon zest, almost candied lemons o the nose. A bit of white flowers and a trace of honeydew. On the palate, not quite as acidic and bright as anticipated but still very clean and crisp. A tiny bit of spice also present, and an even smaller amount of lees character cheese. First time trying S. African Chenin/steen, vastly different from vouvray or any other Loire Chenin but very pleased with the wine overall
