Beautiful nose with notes of dried plums, tobacco, leather and potpourri. On the palate it is obviously tired with flavors of dried cherries, raisins, forest floor and toasted oak. This is probably 5 or 6 years too old at this point but was fun to try. — 3 months ago
Drinking great at 9 years old. Still has bright red fruit flavors with a moderate amount of complexity. — 7 days ago
Fantastic out of a magnum, normally don’t like Zin but this is a special wine. Both dark and red fruits, medium tannins, very expressive. Not jammy at all. Delicious for thanksgiving. — 3 months ago
Black currant, cassis, coco nibs and tobacco. Maintains good acidity but tannins have become soft and silky. — 3 months ago
Dried red fruits, baking spices, cedar, Price Albert tobacco, coco nibs, stewed tomato and leather. Maintains good acidity with softened tannins. A bit past its prime but still drinking well.
