Nice color of burgundy, with a wide brick rim.

Strong nose of black currants, flowers, prunes, bell pepper, barnyard, earth, green vegetables, bitter herbs, cloves, chocolates, wood, forest floor, smoke, black pepper and spices.

Medium bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with currants, prunes, bell pepper, vegetables, herbs, light milk chocolate, earth, spices, pencil lead and black pepper.

Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.

This South African Bordeaux blend is earthy and balanced. Not very complex, but very pleasurable. Stinky, yet interesting.

An old world red wine with a touch of the new world, with a soft and gentle mouthfeel and a nice grip. A little hot at the back of the throat.

Needs to be opened for an hour or two. Good by itself or with food. I would like to meet it again in a couple of years.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.

14% alcohol by volume.

Medium ruby red. Slightly savory to start on the nose with some earthy notes and iron. Opened up with an undertone of dark dried berries and dark cocoa. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) and medium bodied. Dried berries and earthy notes on the palate. Slight dry medium finish. Nothing too complex about this wine, just a great everyday drinker. Drink till 2019.

Plum and cherry notes, light tannins, and a really smooth finish. This blend is very well balanced, low acidity, and a little oak comes thru at the end.

Buen vino.
