
This wine was a roller coaster ride. I double decanted it and the first taste was hot (14.7%) with tannins and sediment. But as it opened up the tannins and alcohol softened and the true flavors of plum and licorice surfaced.

For being my first California Zinfandel, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm so used to our Oregon Zinfandel, that at first, the big heavy body and dry finish put me off. But as I had my second sip and so on, I began to taste the plums, licorice, and sweet fruit in the finish that left me wanting more. This Zinfandel, I could get to know more! Delicious'
