Newton
Unfiltered Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Unfiltered means the nose is raw and stemmy, but at the same time the blackberry and red plum notes are that much more fresh. The palate has crazy chewy tannins, almost gripping at your tongue. Balanced and somewhat regal, this is great.

Dec 27th, 2015Drank this over a couple of nights. It was still tight on the first night but it’s gutsy tannins had been subdued on night two. It has great dried berry, tobacco, cedar and espresso flavors. All in all, it is a very nice wine.

Apr 25th, 2017Big fan of the Newton unfiltered! Medium to full body; very drinkable now, but probably even better with some additional time.

Apr 24th, 2016Classic Napa. Bright blue and black fruits with hints of sage and eucalyptus. A bit lighter than I would have expected. Needed some shaking and lots of swirling in the decanter. Dusty, leathery, tobacco-y, green peppery, meaty, deliciousness. Perfect match to some mooing filet. @David A Lentine ordered this in your honor. Cheers from 3,000 miles away.
