Blackberry and a generous helping of currant with notes of baking spice. The finish is rich, concentrated, velvety, long and full of toasty oak. This has settled down nicely, though at this stage the oak may still be a bit powerful for some. Easily has 10 more years.

Nice to catch a bottle with a little touch of age. As will happen though, we drank it too quickly. I am curious what it would have done after 2 hours of being open.

Lovely, deep nose! Extremely soft on the palate with nice blackberry and plum flavors. Even a little spice. Fades pretty quick for an '09 Napa Cab and isn't as bold and powerful as I would have expected. Not bad but probably $20 bucks too high in price. Wife rated it 90/91.
