Well this is a wonderful wine! Golden yellow with aromas of lemon, honey, and peach. On the bud, it’s rich and fills the mouth with a nice mineral and tangerine note.

Aug 12th, 2022Light golden color. Very rich nose of dried candied fruits, dark honey, and Thai basil. Palette shows mild Szechuan peppercorn, pear, plum, and granite. Rich mouthfeel and medium+ acidity. Finish is short and divergent at this young stage.

Nice wine drinking at its best now. Perhaps storage issues or transportation but seems some oxidation and subtle botrytis notes so perhaps that’s what’s pushing the age. Good richness and persistence loving Savennieres for personality alone
