Amazing freshness and complexity- in certain ways reminiscent of a ruby port although not fortified, syrupy or high in alcohol, but with juicy berry fruit flavors and gentle baking spices. Interesting and evolving, long but not overly rich. Great balance. One of the most intriguing wines I've had in awhile!

A fantastic wine that opened up over the course of four hours, unfurling into a beautiful bouquet of fresh raspberries, raspberry pie, garden herbs and sage, green bell pepper, peppercorn, some mineral funk, and overall a very light but complex character. The comparisons to Loire are apt.
