2009. We were making lamb/beef seekh kebabs for dinner tonight and I thought I would see how well these two 2009 Zinfandels in my cellar have held up and how they paired with the kebabs. I opened the bottles at lunch, but I didn’t decant. Both aged very well, and they were fantastic with dinner though very different styles.
This Novy was brighter, lighter, with great fruit flavors and a lifting finish. Definitely in the top Zinfandel that I’ve had.
