Not remembering the blend but Oakville Ranch always does a great job blending ZN so that it doesn’t taste like a sweetish ZN. Nice to have a tasty wine after 6 weeks of cheap Cabo Costco South American wines.

Jan 28th, 2021At Bacaro Kitchen & Wine Bar in Houston tonight. Wonderful risotto and burrata/tomato salad. Didn’t find the essence of Zinfandel in this bottle.

The Oakville Field Blend is really a fave rave of ours. Sure it’s@a Zin blend but it’s closer to a really smooth cab than a zin. Great notes of leather and spice take the oakiness down a notch. Really on of my favorite wines from my favorite winery.
