Volcanic Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Grapes from Red Hills Lake County. Lots of structure on top of cassis, blackberry, licorice, and cinnamon. Great concentration and consistency for Cali Cab in this range. Might be too broad shouldered for your average fruit bomber.

Not my style of choice but clearly well made. Not too judicious or over the top. Offers up some solid structure. Cassis central. Fruit from Red Hills Lake County.

When I first started drinking it seemed a bit thin. Has warmed up a bit. Nice casual wine. Plums and black licorice.

I wish I took better notes. I just know that I liked it! But not completely blown away. Fun to try. Kevin’s club.
