This is the perfect example of a utility wine. It's fruity for a wine from Paso Robles; well known for their earthy, soil - rich Zins, but that's what piqued my interest in the first place. Lots of stone fruits and a good hit of acid on the back of the tongue. A lot of Sangiovese's take on a vegetal quality but this is the opposite and that's a good thing.
