Visually the wine is impenetrable. The nose is rich and opulent. Maple syrup, maraschino cherries and sweet tobacco greet the palette.
On the palette, the wine is dense with some heat on the mid palette. It's voluptuous and decadent - huge extraction. Sweet blackberries and plums finish the show. This is a one-night-stand, Albeit a pleasant one.

2010. I think this wine aged really well in my cellar. Still has big sweet fruit, nice spicy oak, but the tannins and high abv are well balanced. Great with a grilled steak.
