
This is a highly extracted style of Cabernet with loads of cassis, black cherry, blackberry, a touch of mint and a heavy overlay of chocolate, oaky vanilla, smoke and baking spice. It’s so big I find it somewhat ungainly and lacking enough acidity to offset the weighty fruit. There is surprisingly little tertiary development so far though it will be welcome when it arrives. Medium plus finish.
