Straight from Le Volpe e l’uva in Florence, this is a classic nebbiolo from Italy. Terrific earthiness on the nose combined with aromas of dried cherries, the tannins are firm but well integrated. Will probably be better in a couple of years, but is drinking well (and went great with the butternut squash ravioli and an amazing tomato-based pasta sauce that Vanessa made fresh this evening).
