Splash decanted then rebottled to bring to dinner. Nice aromatics but nothing particularly overt about this. Solid, well made Barolo, but forgettable. Still has time but likely won’t improve much.

Not a great wine, but it is a nice drink. Floral nose - rose petals and berries, a touch of tar - soft round fruit on the palate, very soft tannins, reasonable body. All in all, a very decent wine. Won’t last forever. A point right now and perhaps for a more few years.
