Scavino is always a go to - usual dark fruit with some light floral notes but I enjoy the mineral flavor this wine brings. For a 2004 still very vibrant.

This was the sweetest gesture, Dad. #Myfatherthehero - aside from the fact that my Dad's cellar and unmatched taste for wine are the first and second reasons I ever got into wine in the first place; Father Jerry (the best dad in the world) called Babbo ahead, and had this lovely Italian Barolo sent to our table as an added surprise for me, the night I got engaged! #nearlycried (plus it was so good! A ten after some time in the decanter, I'll remember this one, always.)
