Parducci
True Grit Reserve Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon
Very nice Cab, good nose and smooth. Easy on both the front and back ends, a little spice or pepper aND plum. Gorgeous legs, beautiful color. Nice pasta dinner with classical music and my wife. Recommended by Roger at Costco, great price point at $15. Will get more.

Strong fruity nose with black currants, cherries, blackberries, red candy, wild flowers, vanilla, oak, light vegetables, licorice, spices, light barnyard, chocolates, smoke, earth, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Medium bodied and gentle, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, vegetables, cloves, coffee, smoke, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Medium finish with medium tannins and black pepper.
An above average Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendocino County, California. Spicy and balanced with mild complexity. Not too special, but drinkable nonetheless. A little lighter than I like or expected. Shows nice complexity on the nose. Good for everyday.
Good right out of the bottle and could use a couple of years in the bottle to mature. Needs 30 minutes to open up.

Nice, easy red wine. Slightly thin, not a strong nose but just an enjoyable wine.

Apr 25th, 2020This wine is JUICY! Opens with black currants and dark cherries. Structured tannins give it a round mouth feel followed by a rich, lingering finish with notes of cedar and vanilla.

Aug 17th, 2019Delicious midweek Cab. Nothing overly sophisticated but well worth the price point. Would recommend.

Aug 14th, 2017Excellent cab - would not have expected this from Mendocino good burst of fruit and balanced tannins. Could stand a few more years in the bottle.
