Paul Hobbs
CrossBarn Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Beautiful wine! Nose Lemon curds.
Front slight effervescent with pleasant oily mouth, almond, lemon and flatness of peach with a period stop! The linger in mouth is electric and stone fruit🤯 #jakesgrill&oysterhouse

Agree that there are a lot of different flavors in this wine—citrus and caramel most pronounced—that tend to compete rather than blend.

Went nicely with roast chicken but I get what people are saying with the “overmanipulated” comments. The tastes seem to come in stages - tangy citrus, creamed apple, faint toastiness - without ever quite coming together.

Oct 30th, 2019Lovely floral nose. White acacia flowers on the nose and muted honeysuckle on the quaff that finishes in honey undertones with nuances of slate. Simply excellent.
