This was my contribution to the happy hour. Having never had it, it was recommended by one of the employees at Wine Watch and they hit it out of the park. Absolutely gorgeous. Amazing fruit, long finish, great complexity and left me wanting more.

Good intense Syrah, violets, black fruit, big flavors without feeling heavy.

2005 Vintage. After opening 2 bottles of Pax 2004 with corks gone, tried the 2005. Cork is still good but sour cranberry is not my ideal tasting note on a Syrah. Weird and one dimensional. Sad.

Almost a killer. Good berries and black currant at the start and middle, but finish didn't overwhelm me as I hoped it would. Margot thought it was a little "earthy" for her. Despite the high expectations, still an excellent drink for a medium body syrah. Pay $40ish...
