Meets expectations, though more than a bit hot. Ripe cherry and raspberry fruit, and cola with leather, cedar, and clove on the finish. Gentle tannins.

Who would have thought a Zin would be a light drinking wine. Certainly has flavour but no spice and a weak finish. Enjoyed but not loved. Pairs with white sauced pasta but not sure how it would go with a meat.

A mesomorphic Zinfandel with juicy, well-spoken (but not shouted) nutmeg, blackberry and currant flavors and structured tannins to match. Very consistent with the 2011. $16.19 at Safeway
