This was another Christmas gift from family bought at the winery in Canada. The 2013 Peller Estate Private Reserve Chardonnay from the Niagara Peninsula in Canada. The Niagara Peninsula is an up and coming area of Canada with cooler climate grapes, chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Cabernet Franc all doing well in this region. On the nose I get really nice fruit of green apple, Pear, Peach, Lemon, honeysuckle, and wet stone. On the palate there is lemon, lemon zest, green apples, honeydew melon, a taste of butter and a good earthy minerality. There is medium + acidity with a medium body and a clean fresh medium finish.
