Grandfather 20 Year Rare Tawny Port Blend

I just made a tasting note of this lovely old Tawny Port and as I was submitting it it disappeared. Very frustrating. Aromas of smoky toffee. A lovely mellow complex palate with no hard spirit edges although it clocks in at 19.5%. A great way to finish the Penfolds Collection dinner.

Amazing Tawny.

Can I use yummy to describe this. Dessert in a glass.

Dark cherry wrapped in spicy vanillin oak, a gorgeous Tawny and a drink to be savoured. A few splashes may make it into my blending barrel. #christmas in a bottle.

Not a bad way to finish my first night in Dallas. #epicjuice

Big day. Big treat at the end of it.

Eye - brown gold.
Nose - nothing material - prunes and cloves / spice
Taste - prunes/
Comment - over hyped/ disappointment

Surprise to see it by the glass in Bavaria!
