The 1993 vintage. Not a typical Grange lacking fruit and oak power but still a very good wine. More in the savoury earthy leathery mould not unlike the consistency of a good Brunello. Proves that Grange does well in lesser years and is made to cellar regardless of the vintage conditions.

Different from what I expected, taste is light and harvesty flavor that are very unique and for the first time to me. Viscosity might be expressing its age but eventually I prefer younger pen folds than this.

Points for freshness, so much added tannin though, feels quite artificial
