Penfolds 1989 Grange. 25 years and it's still a puppy. The nose was earthy, mushroomy, dirty, and a bit musty when first poured into the glass. Did not decant it but definitely should have. Over the course of 45 minutes or more the dirty nose blew off and tons of black fruit exploded. Lots of weight on the palate, impeccable balance, bold fruit and toned acidity… Lush and plush and pretty freakin monstrous.

Decanted 2 hrs. Awesome on the first glass. Amazingly fresh fruit 25 yrs on. Got simpler with air. Totally seamless texture. Tasty but my last btl. 1989 vintage.
