Jan 6th, 2017Very interesting wine which develops nicely after an hour in the glass. Looks like squid ink in the glass it's so dark. Initial aromatics slightly reduced and cheesy but dissipates and opens into cassis and spices. Needs time to open up.

May 16th, 2016A fascinating little wine. Incredibly dark, but not boozy. Reminded me of a primitovo/nero d'avola kind of thing.

Dec 5th, 2015Gift from my kid's Georgian daycare owner, showing me what a "real saperavi" should taste like. Not so subtle dig to FLX producers working with same grapes.
Overwhelmed with Brett. Nose and color didn't translate onto palate. A big meh, gave it 2 nights but underwhelmed both times.

Dark color. Nutiness, oaky, chocolate, blackberries on the nose. Tannic, tart, spicy. Not balanced. Didn't finish my glass

Mar 11th, 2015Pretty tasty red from Georgia. A little Bretty, but I like the tannin structure and mineral notes. Cool!

Feb 14th, 2015Smooth delivery, some tannins at finish. Easy to drink red with potential to age a few more years.
