Surprised by this wine. Good balance. Flavor profile reminds me of a pinot noir. — 2 months ago
You never know what you will get with wines from lesser known places. But Georgia has been a wine making country for hundreds and even thousands of years. Saperevi is a signature grape from there and other parts of Eastern Europe. It can be rather intense but this version is super refined, smooth and tasty. Really worth seeking out. — 8 months ago
2016 vintage is superior, but the value is still here. 2017 leans more toward leather with deep fruits (blackcurrant, plum) playing more of a secondary role. +.1 for an amazing pairing with steak. — 4 years ago
This wine is a brilliant purple in the glass. Its nose smells like blueberry, blackberry and currant, as sweet as you think fruit should be. The palate offers a semi-sweet taste, full fruit flavors, with a racy acidity and a firm set of tannins. This wine will pair well with a meat dish, particularly pork or ham. It's not a bad choice for the holiday meal, either. — 6 months ago
Uncorking this bottle resurrects this masterpiece. Every sip is a flavorful journey as it comes back to life with each breath. The character and body remain elusive. TBD. — 9 months ago
