Les Chaumées Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

I can see where Pierre got his style from but it is here where the student has bested the master.

Amazing wine. Drank half and left half with cork in the bottle and in refrigerator. Fabulous five days later with mild goat cheese and neutral cracker.

Not a long finish. Drinks well, but isn't majestic. Sounds weird, but a GREAT Burgundy is pretty easy to identify, and I think it's based on finish.
