Les Champlots Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2015

Previous bottle tasted a year ago in September 2024. Mid lemon in colour. Aromatics of struck match, white flowers, lemon and sea spray. Hasn’t got the delicious ripe fruit I am used to with Australian Chardonnay but it does have its charm and attraction in a more mineral restrained style. — 9 days ago

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022

Somm David T
9.3

Outstanding producer and another 2022 that doesn’t disappoint.

Beautiful viscosity, lush, heather honey, lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple, white stone fruit, tropical melons, saline/sea spray, white spice, moist, chalky powder, limestone, butterscotch toffee, caramel, excellent acidity and round, lush, very balanced, elegant finish that last two-minutes and lands on spice and soft minerality.

Worth every bit of the $49 I paid and then some.

La Chatenière Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2015

See previous Delectable notes. Mid lemon in colour - brilliant clarity. On the nose and palate notes of ripe grapefruit, fresh herbs, wet stone and minerals. Medium plus acidity. The following night it still retains the tension and power when initially tasted. — 23 days ago
