Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Opened up after an hour or so. Leathery and sour, burnt brown in color, medium -bodied. Disappointed in this brunello for the price.

Crazy grip. Cherry and leather and dried herbs. Felt like this could age for a good bit longer too. Good stuff.

Very mineral, reductive nose, with coaxing notes of graham cracker, tangerine, sage and fresh cherry, quite floral as well with notes of iris. Quite concentrated and mineral, fresh and classic. In style, elegant and refined with firm, lacey tannin. Plenty of flowers, orange and mineral power in back end. Yes will age well, keep for 10+ years, solid brunello i imagine this is exceptional in better years.

Forget Pinot with duck, brunello is fantastic. The acidity cuts through just like a Pinot but followed up with an austere licorice sweetness. This Pian Dell Orino is well balanced, the oak adds a subtle touch, and the extra maceration of the grape the sweetness. #sangiovese #delectable @brandonwinelibrary

Just give it 20 Minutes to open up and it will be awesome

Slowly double decanted in the bottle. After 2 hours, the aroma of rose, sweet plum, gentle woody opening up, like walking in to a Bulgarian rose garden. It is a pretty wine. Need to drink with a calm heart :)

Dracks som blindvin i del av "Pedralonga"-provningen. Man kände ganska snabbt alla karaktäristiska smakerna av en italienare. Riktigt svalt år vilket skapar ett extra intressant vin.
