Really a brilliant bottle. Awesome nose of cherry flower and tweed. Mid season cherries and sour cherries. Top not of florals. So pungent. Lipstick like intensity. Such pure fruit and lovely intensity. Sappy mid season cherry fruit and such high quality fruit. Dazzlingly pure. Really open today. Greet concentration and sweetness of fruit. Wow. Just so good. Hedonistic and so well made.

Oh man what a great bottle of wine. Stunning nose of cherry flower, gorgeous smokiness, some high end leather, sopping red cherries, so deep, so high quality. Wow, what fruit. So decadent yet fresh and such energy! Really loads of cherries and just so so pure. Awesome purity. Velvety tannins and they just pump that sweet, pure fruit onto your palate. Invigorating, luscious and so so good. As it airs nose has a lipstick like intensity to it. One of the best BR’s ever. Terrific concentration sap and sweetness but finishes very mineral.

First ever Bourgogne Rouge from Brisset and it’s a doozy. Wow. Such stunning pure fruit on the nose. Wild berries, black cherry, so pure. Elegant spiced and underbrush. Pungent lipstick like intensity on the nose. Glorious fruit. Palate is as glorious as one would expect a Brisset Bourgogne Rouge to be. Gorgeous pure fruit, dense berries, black cherry, spice, awesome body and density. Amazing concentration and density for a Bourgogne Rouge and just thrilling pure fruit. What a finish! And I just popped it. It will surely open. Amazing palate presence. Sappy and so fresh. Briliant.

Very nice - straight forward effort, fruit focused with full spectrum of cherry & sweet spice. Stood up to roast duck

Perfect Bourgogne rouge.

Nose is elegant. Some lilacs.

Palate is delicious fresh fruit. Good grip but not so much it’s annoying or making me want to age it. Fresh raspberry / light wild blackberry crushed in your hands with lilacs. Almost like a cote rotie thing going on.

Damn! Brisset. You are the magic man. Man. Wow.

What you want ina Bourgogne rouge. All I need is a bunch of French folk smoking in my house and some Saucison Lyon and lentils.

Billionaires should buy this and have it with proper roast chicken. No better wine on earth.

Drinking this wine is like viewing the best still life ever. Both are something every artist has to make. But the best version is still a thing of beauty even if it’s a dead rabbit , 4 carrots, a leek and a potato.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such depth & concentration from a humble Bourgogne rouge. Cherry, pine sap, violets, huge aromatics. Needs time & air (decanted in the AM). Another Brisset winner.

At $30, maybe the best value red burgundy I’ve had. What is it with Brisset? When travel is possible again I’d love to go visit him in Burgundy. However much I bought of this is likely not enough, as it’s delicious now but would be quite curious to see it over the next few years. Tons of crunchy cherries. Great precision and minerality and lifting acid with a bit of earth to drive the complexity. Excellent pairing with some zataar roast chicken thighs. Simply delicious.
