An aging dandy with just enough fruit left to dance in the palate — which makes it after my heart. Earthy, leathery with cherry and raspberry and lavender and bit of olive on the long finish.

Smokin. Prototypical chinon. Rhubarb, lavender, rust, wet limestone, baby aspirin. White pepper and a little funk. Bright, kickin palate with necco wafer and slate. Lovely balance and resolved finish. Works for me.
