Tannat (80%)/Cabernet Franc (20%) blend. Deep purple color. Dark black fruit aromas and flavors. Hints of smoke and oak. Just a bit of a green note but it incorporates beautifully. Nicely structured, as the Tannat was not over extracted. Tannins are present but not overly grippy. Alcohol is also reasonable at 13.5%. Give this one a bit of a decant. This wine has benefited from aging. Thank You Ron B. Revisited in January 2023. Above notes still apply. Hint of menthol on the finish.

Plum and fig scent. Strawberry/blackberry notes. Tart tart finish. Not bad, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

Was expecting much more. The nose was inviting, fresh and fruity. The palate disappointed and was weak dark fruit. More like a basic Cotes du Rhone.

"This dark, inky red is one you should absolutely have this bottle on hand for hard days, chilly spring nights and meaty summer bbqs. It's 80% Tannat, a tannic, dark-purple, thick skinned varietal that must be hand-harvested because the stubborn grapes are too tough for machines to shake from the vines, and there's 20% Cabernet Sauvignon for good measure. The wine is intense, but super well balanced; masculine, with a soft side. It craves deep conversation or a really good movie, and maybe some grilled meat too. $15"
