Dark, mellow undertones on the palate. Black berry, tar, currant, smoke, and oak are noticeable in this juice which reaches mid-palate and can deep into the back of the throat depending the person. 2010 definitely needed to breath - got better after each 15 minutes!

This was a very well made cab with an attractive bouquet and possessing a certain level of restraint, relative to some of the more popular modern Napa cab producers. The tannins were also at a good spot in their evolution, which made for a very enjoyable wine. My only complaint might be that it lacked a sense of uniqueness, which I look for in a flagship cuvée.
