Podere le Boncie (Giovanna Morganti)
Le Trame Toscana Sangiovese Blend
No longer classified as a Classico because of Chianti's political needs, this family does an amazing job. This is so juicy and fresh, tannin is easily ignored and soft. Cherry cherry cherry

Jan 29th, 2016@Lyle Fass suggested we try this Chianti so we scheduled a visit in Tuscany during our last trip there. Our somm friend in Florence, upon hearing we were going but that we'd never tasted the wine, opened the bottle on the spot and poured us each a half glass. The 2012 is elegant and aromatic--an achievement in the vintage--while the 2010 we carried home from the winery is one of the best young Chiantis I've had. (Posted in another note).
