Gorgeous nose. Unreal cherry vivacity. Also a hint of aromatic creaminess. I can see the colors! Lovely intense and driving minerality and ultra precise. My oh my is this juicy and precise. Unreal clarity of fruit. Just scintillating. So nimble and clear. So well made. Ultra refined and powdery tannins and just gorgeous purity. Holding back but I will be here all night folks. Now with air the finesse is picking up as is the focus. This is truly great Pinot! — 5 days ago

Gorgeous and opulent nose of dark cherries, mid season cherries, lovely fresh wet earth, penetrating minerality, decaying leaves and more. Stunning nose. 9.5 nose. Not that complex but so pure and precise. Palate is so juicy and ripe with gorgeous cherry fruit and epic cleansing acidity and terrific freshness. Cuts a swath across the palate Nose starts to get a lipstick like intensity after it airs out. Terrific tannins that are ripe and juicy. Really great energy here and length. Gorgeous nose. Unreal vivid cherry. Sawdust. Loads of stones and rocks. Super pure and so nimble. Loads of spice and flowers. Wow what a palate. Super elegant but has that rustic Monthelie charm. Also a lovely meatiness on the nose is developing with air. Needs air but man is this meaty, floral, sweet and super deep. Like a baby Clos Des Chenes which it abuts. Terrific energy and transparency. Big tannins need air to calm down. With air this is getting so elegant and it’s just teeming with energy! Wow Florent has killed 21! Overnight this gained in body and sweetness but still had some unresolved structure but man that finesse is there. — 5 days ago

Powerful and mineral with huge levels of dry extract. Nose is provocative with its instant elite florallity. So dense yet elegant. Unreal elegant citrus fruit on the mineral blast of a finish. The finish is just ridiculous. Outrageous on the PNP but let’s see what air does. — 7 days ago

Les Genelières Marsannay Pinot Noir 2022
First time with this since barrel in June 23. Gorgeous aromas of vivid mid season cherry fruit that is very high toned. Love the wet earth as well which is super vivid. Blackberry flower and also kind of an explosive floral element like someone keeps rubbing flower petals in their fingers. Also a meaty, spice element as well. So complex and brilliant. This will be the 1st Marsannay 1er Cru one day. Palate is gorgeous with top notch elegance and terrific freshness and dense fruit that is not fully expressive as this point. Really stoney but ripe tannins. Gorgeous violets now peeking out. Still seems very closed and oozing with potential. I will be back. Gorgeous inner mouth aromas and this has such a seriousness to it. Wow! What an overnight transformation. Remarkable. This needed over 20 hours to come around but when it did it was so supple, juicy and layered with just unreal crystalline fruit. Dark black cherry and wonderful freshness and depth. 9.2 to 9.5 overnight. — 5 days ago
