A bit tannic for my taste given it is Pinot noir. However I liked the complexity and it went well with the lamb. It was an interesting wine but not typical. Not fruit forward. Lots of secondary tastes. I got more earth than I would have expected, but still, very pleasant. I rated it perhaps a bit low because it was atypical. But don’t let that keep you from tasting it.

Surprised by this 1994. Well balanced, earthy aromas and dark fruit on the palate with a lengthy finish full of spice.
