Big and Bold Red Field Blend. Ripe plum and black fruit aromas along with notes of asphalt and smoke. Blackberry fruit flavors with highlights of wood, slate, earth and black tea. Firm tannins and bone dry, but plenty of acidity to keep the wine balanced. Big, rich and rustic. Might need a bit more bottle aging. Outstanding QPR. Revisited in April 2020. Still very LARGE right out of the bottle. Give this one a decant and some more time. Revisited again in May 2021. Improving with age.
