A classic big bold beautiful wine - from a vineyard right next to the famous Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard - amazing Juice with the textures, verve and anise undertones of its prestigious neighbors. Dark garnet to the rim with a slight purple hue, the clarity of this wine shows off its overall brightness, purity and depth- smells of dark and red raspberries so strong you don't even have to put your nose to the glass - this is definitely mid palate that is filled with spice box, herbs of Provence and mocha, setting the stage for rollercoaster of complexities and multi-level layers - true cornucopia of cool-toned red/blue fruits, graphite and coffee undertones - 2011 is balanced, on point, long and focused - the subtle nuances and hidden layers are so evident

Yup. Plush Blue/black fruit, eucalyptus, and a violet nuance. Mouth staining with a rich and dark fruited smack to the palate with firm depth and balanced acidity rounds it out. Yup.

Young but with huge potential

A mere baby. Luscious dark fruit begs you to take another sip.

The nose on this...ripe and sweet blackberry and raspberry, like that in the middle of a jelly roll, lavender and flowers; palate is rich, dark fruit, full mouthfeel; this is deeper and darker than the Quivet Kenefick but still very approachable; a bit of heat on the initial entry but time in the glass helps.

Really nice spice notes and minerality in this wine, but it's also very young. I'll happily hold the rest of mine for a few more years before checking back in.

Lacking any structure. Sort of surprised. Love mike's wines otherwise.

Decanted for an hour. Dark purple color. Intense nose of red fruit, vanilla and cedar. Full body, smooth with the typical opulence of the 2012, with hints of spice. Great balance. Long finish. I love this vineyard. Drinks great right now.
