@Bob McDonald -Great info. We haven't done wine related travel in a while as our trips at this point cater to our daughters who are 8 & 6, but I've added the tip to my always growing collection once they get a little older.
lots of quality CA 2011 wines among all varietals. In cab land if you like old world bdx varietal then the best 2011s will knock your socks off in a few more years!
@Ron R agreed. Again, my old comment rings true - a poor carpenter blames his tools. Poor vintages is where winemakers with great skill should shine. But that's just IMHO.
This vineyard is amongst the steepest I've walked. Also, has some of the hardest soil one will see but it produces amazing wines. Rene and his son Pierre produce some of the best wines in Rhone. Interesting enough, 100% of his production goes to the US. Lucky us!!!
@David Trumper Hello David. Interesting fact. Are you sure it is 100% though? Because one of the local importers sells this wine too (and I am from Russia). Well, guess you are no less lucky even if you get 99% though ;)
