Double magnum celebrating my daughter’s marriage.
Excellent wine. Beautiful nose of cassis and blueberries. Coffee notes on the mid palate, with very little oak to talk about. Nice texture supported by muscular tannins. Finishes moderately sweet. Nice acidity suggests that there’s no rush to consume this. — 12 days ago
I bought this as a test, given that we normally drink the regular Outpost cab. We find no perceptible difference between the True and the regular. Stick with the regular and enjoy the value.

This was singing last night. Nice nose of mature cherries and spice box. Mid palate displays density and weight. Packed with ripe cherries and a hint of tobacco, complemented with a moderate tannin structure. Oak treatment was in the background. Finished with length and a hint of soft brown sugar. Acidity is still prominent so I assume you could continue to hold this for another 7 years with ease. — 4 days ago
Kiwi notes on the nose. Crunchy palate with guava and white melon. Textured and weighty. With a nice butterscotch note on the mid palate, combined with moderate acidity and sweetness. No food required. — 10 days ago
First time trying this, and we were very impressed. Lots of orchard fruits on the nose, with a hint of baked apples. Very little perceptible wood treat on the nose or palate. It presents crisp on the palate with a nice bright acidity, but has volume and weight. Love the fruit and moderate sweetness. Less malo and nutty notes make this a big hit for us.

This was sailing… meaty nose of rich burnt ends coupled with plum jam. Palate was viscous and mineral driven. S little too much acidity with a slightly citrus finish. Nice juxtaposition with the Siro, but this was always destined for second place tonight. — 4 days ago
Nose presents bing cherries and potash. Very concentrated on the mid palate with muscular tannins in the foreground. Jammy, textured and concentrated, reinforced with bright acidity and hints of granite. Very enjoyable and will stay on this glide path for many more years. — 5 days ago
Built for the long haul. Raisins, saddle leather and macerated cherries on the nose. Palate is balanced with moderate weight. Overripe cherries and blueberry pie combines with bright acidity. Time will help to calm down the acidity, but overall, a strong showing.

First time trying this after being enthralled with the second wine; Mica.
Although 2020 was a gnarly vintage in Napa, I rolled the dice with this…
Nose displays scorched earth, sandalwood and rich dark fruit. Palate is plush, dense and textured. Plum compote and grainy tannins provide the classic Napa signature. Nice acidity brings up the rear. Relative to Mica, based on this showing, I wouldn’t spend 2.5 x for this over Mica. I know it’s a poor comparison due to the vintage, but I didn’t see any noticeable improvement worth going broke for. Excellent experience but no. Mo rated this 92 and he’s clearly on another planet right now 🤔 — a month ago

One of our fave Napa wines due to the fact that it’s consistent and restrained. Requires no food, just good company. — 3 days ago
