Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

Celebrating @Cody Cotten 's bachelor party downtown Austin. Lambert's BBQ is some of the best around! Decent wine list and zin and BBQ is a favorite pairing of mine. Never had this, but it's nice for the price. Definitely not a jam fruit bomb that some zins (Rombauer) are. More balance with spice here. Fruit preserves on the nose along with cedar. Medium bodied and better after at least 30-45mins. Blackberries, blueberries and black cherry. Cola too. Feels like a zin and Pinot combo the more I think about it. Here's to night #2 downtown Austin!

V13. Very good. Olive and cedar nose. Rich blackberry fruit. Dry , tart mineral finish .

Spicy Sandy texture. Clau just grabs bottles from no where. I still remember Quivira was one of the fresh farm to vineyard dinner a decade ago. So memorable

Plum, dark berries, all-spice.

V13. Solid Zin. Well balanced. Cedar nose. Rich blackberry, plum fruit. Leather, mocha and cola finish. Enjoyable.

Needs time to create. Better after it opened up. Not sure I would buy again.

Meh. A bit pinchy and ordinary.

Medium bodied, well balanced. Delicious!!

Gorgeous dark ruby color, faint nose of leather and tobacco nose, dry, peppery and jammy with a cedar-cinnamon finish. Drinks a little hot. Good price for a Sonoma zin.
