Very complex...almost like a shape shifting wine. Different today compared to yesterday; also changed as it warmed in the glass. Sort of tart and a bit closed at first pour, it opened up in the glass to become floral and earthy at the same time. Later developed eucalyptus notes as well as a whiff of pencil shavings. Perfect wine to open and drink on my husband's birthday!

Berries, herbs, coffee beans, rosemary, underbrush. Silky on the palate with a fresh and tannic finish. It’s a shame Virginia wine is almost impossible to find in Europe. If I could, I’d explore more.

May 26th, 20232011. Tough year. But a good showing nonetheless. Lots of stone, some spice. Fruits on the weaker side. Could certainly improve with some age.
