This, my first wine from Virginia was very impressive. I find it interesting to think about how Thomas Jefferson failed at propgating any of the 24 vinifera varieties he brought home to Monticello and also how wine wasn't really on the map when I lived in VA for a decade in the 1990s. A wonderful, perfectly balanced, delicious VA wine can now truly await you. Will keep my eyes open for more greats from VA.

Full heady aromas of black cherry, black plum, cedar, fresh ground black pepper and whiff of vanilla chai spice. Soft and vibrant on the palate with heady notes of chocolate atop earthy spice and berries. Warm finish.

Lovely balance in this old world style red. Low acidity with flavor notes of plum, cherry and dried currant.
