This is delicious. Aged to perfection and hitting on all the right cylinders, I like the note that another reviewer put - a "juicier Brunello." That's just it - for $32, you're getting a mouthful of red fruit, soy, leather, black currant, roses, and a delightfully rich, smooth finish. This is a knockout and one of the finest example of Vino Nobile I've encountered. Bravo!

May 25th, 2017We bought this at the winery in Montepulciano in 2016, enjoyed for our 14th anniversary in 2020. Strong vanilla, wood smoke, slate, berries on the nose; savory, river rock, tannic, dry on the palette.

May 26th, 2020Drank 9/4/17. Excellent pairing with Rigatoni Bolognese, and heartier Italian dishes.
A big wine, with a nose of tar, leather, and sweet red cherries. Palate of Black and red cherries, with tar giving it an earthy, Italian flavor. Medium to high acidity, with firm, but well integrated tannin, making for a smooth finish.
3/22/8/4/4 + 50 = 91
