Among my favorite Renaissance wines, surpassed perhaps only by the 2001. Still loads of sweet piquant red and black cherries, currants, stewed plums, dried meat, mesquite wood, chocolate, wet earth, graphite and iron. Tannins have dropped out (as evidenced by the loads of sediment) leaving a velvety smooth texture. Not falling off a cliff but should be enjoyed soon

Amazing right after opening. Cherries, dark fruit, wonderful depth. Delicious.

50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon

Good cherry, some cranberry, nice dark tertiary notes. Decent amount of sediment on bottle.
