Slightly deeper colour , brighter ruby centre . More crunchy summer fruits , red currant , cherry , blackberry , floral notes, more fresh and vivacious than the Tortochot . On the palate this is slightly better balanced with a rounder more red fruited character , red cherry , raspberry , mineral , just slightly smoky hint. Sweet rounded but still grippy tannin , balanced fresher acidity, mineral stony touches, saline finish . Better length . Young but showing quite well , even better in 3-5 years and will last well at least another 5-8. This was a little more nuanced , fresh and elegant in style than the Tortochot, certainly with more polish in regards the tannins .
